How Much Does SEO Cost in Miami? What Each Price Band Actually Buys

Summarize with AI

Three identical crates opened side by side, one nearly empty and one packed full of glowing blocks, showing how the same SEO price label buys very different volumes of work

Publishing a rate at all is the exception in this market. The agencies that dominate the "best SEO companies in Miami" roundups do not publish rates anywhere, and several of them do not operate from here. Thrive works out of Texas, SmartSites out of New Jersey, Lounge Lizard out of New York, and Webxtalk out of India. They show up on Miami lists because they published a page aimed at Miami. It is also worth knowing who writes those lists, since most are published by an agency that ranks itself first, and DesignRush notes that some of its listings include paid partnerships.

The one high-end figure published anywhere came from a marketplace instead of an agency: a Miami hospitality group posted an SEO consultancy engagement on Sortlist at $15,000 to $20,000.

So this guide does three things. It gives you the numbers and names the source behind each one. It breaks a monthly retainer into the units of work it actually pays for. And it gets you to the point where you can tell which band your own business belongs in, before you sit through anybody's sales call.

What SEO costs in Miami right now

Here is what agencies serving this market publish. Every figure below is a rate the provider posted publicly, not an estimate we made up.

Every figure above was taken from the provider's own public pricing page: Sky SEO Digital, DocDigitalSEM, Thryv, Simply The Best Digital and W3Era. Search any of those names with the word pricing and you will land on the same page we did.

Two more providers quote this market without a local base: BizIQ at $299 to $699 a month plus a setup fee of $459 to $2,899, and VICE SEO at $1,500 to $5,000.

Two things worth noticing before you read further.

The overlap is heavy. Almost every provider has something in the $1,000 to $2,500 window, which tells you where the middle of SEO pricing in Miami actually sits, regardless of how each one labels its tiers.

Published monthly SEO rates in the Miami market, 2026, on one axis.

The edges are where the confusion lives. A business can pay $500 and a business can pay ten times that, both in Miami, both for something called SEO. The next section is about why.

What a price range actually tells you

A wide range is information. Most guides publish one and move on, which leaves you comparing two numbers that were never describing the same job.

At the bottom of the range you are buying presence and maintenance. Your Google Business Profile stays current, your citations stay consistent, your existing pages get cleaned up, somebody watches your rankings. That work has real value, especially for a business that is already established in a niche where three competitors matter.

At the top you are buying surface and authority. New pages built for searches you do not currently show up for, content produced every month, links earned from places that are hard to earn from, and the technical work to hold it all together. That is a production operation, and production costs money whether it is happening in Hialeah or anywhere else.

The clearest proof of the gap is in the individual pieces. Sky SEO Digital publishes service page rewrites at $50 to $200. Simply The Best Digital publishes service and landing pages at $500 to $1,500. Same words on the invoice, ten times the price.

Neither one is wrong. At $50 somebody edits a page you already have. At $1,000 somebody researches the search, structures the page around it, writes it, marks it up, and builds it to compete. When you compare two proposals, the question that resolves almost everything is which of those two you are being quoted for.

Two identical desks side by side: at one, a man wipes a cloth over a single printed web page; at the other, a team of three builds the same page as a structure with scaffolding, blueprints and a crane
At $50 somebody cleans up the page you already have. At $1,500 a team researches, structures, writes and builds it to compete.

What each dollar actually buys, in units

This is the part of SEO pricing that almost nobody publishes, and it is the part that makes a quote checkable. A retainer is a bundle of countable things wearing a single number.

Here is what the individual units go for in this market.

Now run the math backwards on a quote you have been given.

A $1,200 monthly retainer, using mid-market unit rates, covers roughly one long-form article, one service page, and one mid-tier link, with a few hours left for technical work and reporting. That is a real month of work. It is also a specific and limited month of work, and knowing that changes what you expect from month three.

A $3,000 retainer buys two to three times that volume. A $500 retainer buys a fraction of it, which is worth knowing before you sign, not after.

Ask any agency for the deliverables with quantities attached. A proposal that says "monthly content" is not answerable. A proposal that says two articles, one service page, and three link placements is something you can price against the table above.

Want a second pair of eyes on the quote you already have?

Send us the proposal. We will tell you what it actually contains, count the deliverables against the rates above, and say whether the math works, including when the answer is that somebody else's quote is the better one.

How much does local SEO cost in Miami?

Local SEO is usually quoted as its own line, and in this market published local SEO prices run roughly $750 to $3,500 a month. It buys a different job from the one above: the map pack instead of the blue links, your Google Business Profile instead of your service pages, reviews, and relevance to a neighbourhood rather than to a topic.

Building the profile properly is a one-time piece of its own, published at $300 to $600. If you are a business people search for by proximity, a clinic, a shop, a trade, this is usually the first dollar that pays, not the last. We price it separately for the same reason, on our local SEO service.

How much does an SEO audit cost in Miami?

Published audit rates in this market run $500 to $3,000, and the spread tracks depth: a checklist pass against a crawl at one end, a full technical, content and competitive review at the other.

An audit is the right purchase in exactly one situation, and it is a common one. You dropped, or you have been paying for months without movement, and nobody can tell you why. Six months of a $1,500 retainer aimed at the wrong problem costs $9,000. A $1,500 diagnosis that finds it costs $1,500. Buy the audit first and let it decide the retainer.

Links are the line where the published SEO fees spread widest, because "a link" describes several different things.

Type of linkPublished rate eachWhat it takes
Directory and citation$150 to $250Submission and consistency work
Guest post or resource page$250 to $400Outreach plus a written piece
Authority and local press$400 to $600+A story or data somebody wants to publish
Published per-link rates in this market. The price is tracking how hard the placement is to earn.

A retainer that promises "links" without saying which tier is unanswerable. Three citations and three authority placements are the same word on the invoice and roughly a $1,200 difference in a single month.

How much does content cost for SEO?

Published content prices run $50 to $100 for a short article, $150 to $400 for a long-form piece, and $300 to $1,000 for a location or guide page. A pillar page of 3,000 words or more runs $1,500 to $4,000.

The gap between a $50 article and a $400 one is not word count, it is whether anybody researched the search before writing. That is also why a service page can cost $50 or $1,500: the cheap one is an edit of what you already have.

Packages or a custom campaign?

A package is cheaper to buy and easier to compare, and it is the right call when your situation is ordinary: one service, one area, a clean site. You are paying for a known quantity of work and you can check it against the rates above.

A custom campaign earns its premium when something about you is not ordinary, a catalog, several locations, two languages, or a technical mess underneath. In those cases a package either does not cover the work or quietly caps it, and you find out in month four.

The price you pay and the price advertised

The monthly figure in the headline is rarely the full commitment, and the gap shows up in three places.

Setup fees. BizIQ publishes setup charges of $459 to $2,899 alongside monthly packages that start at $299. On the larger end, the setup costs more than nine months of the advertised monthly rate. Setup fees are legitimate work, but they belong in your math from the start.

Minimum terms. Long minimums with auto-renewal are still common in this market, and month-to-month options exist if you look for them. Thryv, which publishes its SEO fees openly at $797 a month, also publishes month-to-month terms with 30-day cancellation, which tells you the structure is available in Miami.

Notice periods. A 60-day notice requirement on top of a six-month minimum means the real commitment is eight months, not six.

Put those together before you compare two proposals. A $797 monthly rate with no setup and 30-day cancellation costs about $4,800 over six months. A $299 monthly rate with a $2,000 setup and a six-month minimum costs about $3,800, and you cannot leave. Depending on which matters more to you, either one can be the better deal, and you cannot tell from the headline number.

Two receipts hanging from a rail: the short one ends cleanly next to an open door, the long one runs to the floor weighed down by an anchor and clamped shut with a padlock
The cheaper headline can be the more expensive commitment once setup, minimum term and notice period are on the same receipt.

Where you are standing right now

Your number comes out of your situation, so it helps to name your situation first. Five questions get you most of the way there.

A control console with five large dials in a row, three turned to maximum and two near minimum, under a gauge whose needle is pushed high
Competition, site condition, services times areas, catalog and second language. Turn three of the five and you are already in the middle band.

How many competitors are actually fighting for your searches? A specialty service with four real competitors in your area is a different job than a category where thirty businesses are chasing the same searches every month.

What condition is your site in? A site with clean architecture and decent speed starts producing sooner. A site that needs URL restructuring, technical repair, and internal linking cleanup is looking at a one-time project on top of the monthly work, and the published rates for those run $500 to $2,500 each. That is the work a technical SEO engagement is scoped around.

How many services, across how many areas? This is the number that scales your cost fastest. One service in one neighborhood is a handful of pages. Six services across five areas is thirty pages that all have to be built, then maintained. If that is your shape, read how local SEO works across multiple locations before you price it.

Do you have a catalog? Product and collection pages are their own body of work, separate from your service pages, and they are usually priced separately for good reason.

One language or two? In this market that question is not decorative. A second language means a second set of pages, hreflang tags, a second sitemap, and its own keyword research, because someone searching in Spanish in Hialeah does not use the words someone searching in English in Brickell uses. We covered how that plays out on the build side in our web design cost breakdown for Miami.

Answer those five and you can place yourself in the table at the top of this page with reasonable confidence.

Is cheap SEO worth it?

There is local SEO being sold in this market at $49 a month, and packages at $299. The honest answer is that those numbers buy something, and what they buy is usually automated.

W3Era flags packages under $500 with no clear deliverables as a warning sign, and that is the right test. What sinks the cheap tier is that the deliverables are almost never specified, so there is nothing to hold anyone to.

If a provider quotes you under $500 and can hand you a written list of what arrives each month with quantities on it, that is worth considering for a small operation in a quiet niche. If they cannot, you are buying a monthly report.

What actually moves your number

Five factors do most of the work, and they compound rather than add.

Competition in your category sets the floor for how much content and authority you need. Your site's starting condition determines whether you spend the first two months fixing or growing. The number of services multiplied by the number of areas sets your page count. A catalog adds its own production line. A second language roughly doubles the content side.

A business with one service, one area, a clean site, no catalog, and one language sits near the bottom of every range on this page. Change three of those and you are in the middle. Change all five and you are at the top, where the price reflects volume rather than markup.

What to choose, based on what you are trying to do

The U.S. Small Business Administration's general guidance is that businesses under $5 million in revenue put 7 to 8 percent of gross revenue toward marketing. Worth knowing: that recommendation assumes net margins in the 10 to 12 percent range. If your margins are thinner than that, the percentage does not transfer cleanly, and you should build the budget from your customer acquisition cost instead.

From there, your objective points at a band.

You need leads this quarter. SEO is the wrong first dollar. Local SEO plus a modest paid budget will move faster, and the SEO side should focus on your Google Business Profile and the pages that already rank on page two. Our paid media strategy for Miami covers what that split looks like in practice.

You are building for the next two years. This is where the middle and upper bands earn out. Surface takes months to build and then keeps producing, and cutting it off resets progress.

You dropped and want to recover. Start with an audit before a retainer. Published SEO audit charges run $500 to $3,000, and a diagnosis costs less than six months of guessing at the wrong problem.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost in Miami?

Published SEO prices from agencies serving this market run from about $500 to $6,000 a month for most engagements, and the average cost of SEO for a small business here lands between $1,000 and $2,500. Hospitality and enterprise projects go well past that, with one Miami engagement posted publicly at $15,000 to $20,000. The band depends on competition, site condition, page count, and whether you need Spanish as well as English.

Do Miami SEO agencies require long contracts?

Some do and some do not, and it is worth asking before price comes up. Long minimums with auto-renewal are still common here, but month-to-month exists: Thryv publishes 30-day cancellation alongside its rates. Watch the notice period too, because 60 days of notice on a six-month minimum is really an eight-month commitment.

Why do agencies charge such different prices for SEO?

Because they are selling different volumes of work. The individual pieces show it clearly: a service page runs from $50 to $1,500 depending on whether it is being edited or built to compete.

Is there a minimum budget worth spending?

If a provider cannot give you a written list of monthly deliverables with quantities, the amount does not matter. If they can, compare that list against the unit rates in this guide and decide whether the math works.

How long before SEO produces results?

Early movement typically shows in the first few months, with compounding results building over six to twelve. Your starting position and your competition determine which end of that you land on.

What to do with this

Take the proposal you have. Find the deliverables, count them, and price them against the unit table above. If the numbers roughly line up, the quote is fair for what it includes. If you cannot find quantities anywhere in the document, that is the thing to ask about before price ever comes up.

If you want help reading what you have been quoted, or a clear picture of what your own situation actually requires, we will walk through the pages, the competition, and the numbers with you. That review is where every engagement starts at our digital marketing agency in Miami, before anybody talks about a retainer.
